Past President Report
Sharon Sanderson, OTR/L, FAOTA
Submitted July, 2007

It has been a pleasure and an honor to serve as President of OOTA for the past two years.  Our Association is vibrant, and in many ways, leading the way for other states to emulate.  Our annual conference last year was the first in the country to have its focus on the Centennial Vision.  Other states are asking how and what we did!  This fall, our annual conference stands to be another informative, trail blazing event, with time to network with colleagues, old and new.

I am now moving to another phase in my professional development.  In April, I was elected to serve as Secretary-Treasurer of the AOTA Affiliated State Association Presidents group, which means that I must resign as OOTA President.  I love being involved on the national level, and am looking forward to this three-year term which begins July 1.

Toby Hamilton will become President, and I hope you will support her as she leads the Association for the next two years.  I will continue to serve OOTA as the Past President (for one year), and as Bylaws chair.  We look forward to another interesting professional year.  Get all of your colleagues to join OOTA and be part of the progress of the profession.
