OOTA serves it’s members and the Oklahoma community by advocating for awareness, services and reimbursement. Our advocacy committee is divided into three separate but interrelated subsections which are overseen by the President of OOTA.

Sarah Chadwich, OTR/L will  serve OOTA in decisions about promoting OT to specific professional groups including the legislators.  If you have ideas on how to better promote OT to professionals, please contact Sarah. SLChadwickOTR@aol.com

Mary Isaacson, Ed,D, OTR/L, ATP will serve OOTA to promote OT as a viable profession to include in non-traditional community services as well as prepare practitioners for this cutting edge practice. If you have ideas about how to promote OT to lay people, or community-based arenas, please contact Mary.

Melanie Trook, OTR/L, CHT will serve OOTA to promote reimbursement for OT services in a variety of systems. If you have problems with reimbursement for your services, please contact Mel. HandsMel@cox.net

 

Community Promotions April 2006

The legislative committee would like photos of occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and students working with clients to put on display. Photos can be emailed in a digital format or mailed to OOTA. OOTA will require a release before displaying photos. Follow this link for the release form.
